Valve Announces Counter Strike Global Offensive There were some recent teases for the next Counter-Strike game, and now it’s official: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has been announced by Valve for release on Steam (PC and Mac), PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live Arcade in early 2012. Wasn’t expecting that at all — awesome! (Jordan Devore) www.destructoid.com Saints Row The Third New Freefalling Gameplay Video THQ has released the above video for Saints Row: The Third which takes you through the game’s second mission, “Freefalling.” The Saints have been taken captive by The Syndicate aboard a luxury jet following the heroes’ recent bank heist and the conversation is less than friendly. Once the bullets start flying, the player has to make their way through to the back of the plane and jump out with a chute. Then there’s a bit of backtracking which, while normally loathsome, is handled with impressive style. You’ll see what I mean. (Conrad Zimmerman) www.destructoid.com Google Plus Gets Games It’s real. fulltiltpokerrigged.blogspot.com officialpokerrankings.com I believe my poker skills are slightly above average. I can go play in a live casino and make money greater than 50% of the time. I also can sit in a tournament for an hour or two, and not win a hand. I realize poker has its ups and downs. Well, background information: I played on and off on Full Tilt for a while, mainly just for fun. I deposited or so to play in one of their guarantee tournaments. Basically I grew that money to upwards of k and then lost a few hundred playing cash PLO. For some reason I could do well(at first…cashed in 6 of 9 tournaments played)in tourney’s, but never could hit anything in cash. I was playing .25/.50, so I would just rebuy on and on. I then told myself F cash games, I’m strictly playing tourney’s. What do you know, I kept on losing early and often…..which in live tourney’s I can usually last to the latter parts of the tournament……On Full Tilt, I kept on getting big made hands and then losing on the river to two pair and straights. I know this stuff happens in real live poker, but really, tournament after tournament I am getting knocked out on the river. It won’t end. Finally I was down to my last and I searched for Full Tilt Rigged on google. I came about this blog……fulltiltpokerrigged.blogspot.com it was ridiculous how true some of the things he … Video Rating: 3 / 5
Poker Connects announces its Beta launch to members of the Philadelphia poker community. PokerConnects is a forum to help poker players find home games in the Philadelphia area. The website functions similarly to craigslist and other classified sites. Hosts can post their game using the “create a game” form, filling out details of their home games. Players can then browse games and contact the hosts directly. Similarly, players can post what they are looking for with the “looking for a game” form, and hosts of games can then contact them directly. PokerConnects is completely anonymous and free to use. No registration or login is required.
Poker Connects Areas of Operation
PokerConnects is currently only open to members of the Philadelphia poker community, but we hope to expand the site to other cities in the near future. We also plan to launch a number of new features. Our goal is to make the site a social hub for poker players around the country and world. We would love feedback and comments on our site as we move forward with development
We are pleased to announce that www.pokerconnects.com, the place to find poker players and home games online, has had over 10 games and 30 players post to our site within the first month of launch. We have subscribers from Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs in Delaware and New Jersey. We are excited about this growth and hope to continue to generate new visitors and posters. Our goal is to be the ultimate destination for poker-related content on the web. We are planning an expansion to other cities in the near future.
News Stream – Unique Feature of Poker Connects
We also recently launched a new feature, the PokerConnects News Stream. Every day, we pull three interesting pieces of poker-related content from a large database of websites and display the links on PokerConnects. We display a variety of content including videos, stories, and hands. Previous day’s entries are also visible in our archives. We hope you will enjoy News Stream and would love to hear any comments.
